Eurolight – building aesthetics

Skylight systems play an important role in modern Architecture. Over the last few years, builders, planners and architects have increasingly turned to the high quality standard of Eurolight with its extensive advantages for use in new buildings and roof redevelopments.Eurolight allows natural daylight to sufficiently and economically enter a building regardless of its size. It is versatile and can be used in industrial, commercial and communal housing areas.

Eurolight benefits:

  • Even, glare-free light
  • Productivity increase
  • Reduction in energy costs for artificial lighting
  • Can be combined with ventilation systems and RWA
  • Heat extraction in the event of a fire complying with DIN 18232

Eurolight has an extremely high durability due to the high quality materials used in its construction. It consists of a cantilevered aluminium alloy AIMgSi0,5 F22 construction. The transparent elements are made of polycarbonate and are weatherproof and hail-resistant in accordance with the manufacturer's data. Special profiles guarantee a reliable sealing for many years.
Eurolight can be perfectly combined with other elements from our system range. In combination with air extraction units or RWA systems, it provides an ideal solution for natural ventilation, no-cost lighting, smoke and heat extraction.

Eurolight – daylight technology for professionals

Thermal separation
The plastic and aluminium rungs are not screwed together. The system is therefore thermally separated, preventing to a large degree the formation of condensation water.

Thermal insulation
The heat-bridge-free rung construction ensures good thermal insulation and minimal joint transmission coefficients. An energy-friendly solution.

Eurolight – the detail makes the difference

There is a special base frame for integrating the air extraction system or RWA units into the dome light system. The special construction allows easy extension of the various materials and absorbs any occurring tension.

Eurolight – with lots of vitamin "L"

Eurolight provides an absolute glare-free and pleasant illumination. Furthermore, natural daylight has the effect of increasing work performance. Artificial lighting can be reduced to a minimum, allowing Eurolight to considerably reduce energy costs.

The choice of synthetic material depends on the level of thermal insulation required and the width of the roof opening. The seamed double sheeting falls into buildings materials class B1 complying with DIN 4102 (non-readily ignitable). The double cavity panelling is B2, normally ignitable, regulated by DIN 4102.

Aligned cover and insertion sections enclose the polycarbonate elements. The insertion section has the radius of the first and last cover rung and simultaneously forms the base end. The transparent front is 10mm PC that is held by a continuous top-over section. The standard rise is 1/5 of the span width.

Specification

The Eurolight skylight system is a combination of self-supporting aluminium elements and light plastic modules interlocked to form an energy-conserving room lighting system.

The skylight system is suitable for heat extraction in the event of a fire.

The support elements are made from the aluminium alloy AIMgSi0,5 F22. They are thermally separated. The rung width is 80mm minimum.

The components are designed for quick and easy fitting. The transparent sections are clamped under two rung widths. The front sections are transparent.

Minimal joint transmission coefficients and a heat-bridge-free rung construction guarantee excellent thermal insulation and an energy-cost-friendly solution. Spanning and construction are designed to absorb the distension of the materials without leakage or tension resulting.

EUROLIGHT MKIII CONbox2
The economic dome-light system with natural air extraction and RWA

System description

EUROLIGHT MK III is a thermally insulated skylight construction module system for energy-saving, glare-free, natural room lighting from daylight. Equipped with double-flap ventilators, PHOENIX guarantees natural day-to-day ventilation and smoke/heat extraction in the event of a fire.

Multi-functionality

The EUROLIGHT MK III is cost-efficient on the one hand due to minimal joint transmission coefficients, as well as a thermal-broken rung construction, and on the other hand due to the inclusion of DIN and VdS compliant daily ventilation and RWA systems.

Uses

EUROLIGHT MK III is suitable for communal, commercial and industrial buildings, new buildings and redevelopments.

Operation

The type of operation depends on requirements and can be pneumatic in accordance with DIN 18232 with end-located locking compressed air cylinders and thermal priority vents, or electrically driven (24 V) with an RWA box.

System components

EUROLIGHT MKIII is a self-supporting thermal-broken rung aluminium alloy AlMgSi0,5 F22 construction with a rung width of 70 mm and 10 mm opal or transparent polycarbonate seamed triple panels (DIN 4102 part 1 compliant, non-readily ignitable and UV resistant).
The support elements are all thermally separate constructions; therefore cover and support rungs are not screwed onto one another so that thermal distension of the whole construction is smooth. Corners are pre-welded.

Standard model: neck opening width 2500 mm – with conical base rim max. 3000 mm.

The rise is 1/7 of the span width of the roof light, the rungs 1060 mm.

The light panels span two rung widths. The integrated PHOENIX type double wing (with a standard width of 2500 mm and max. length of 2000 mm) is for daily air extraction and/or RWA and set into the rung construction by means of a stable base frame.
